The
Allahabad Mathematical Society founded on the 25th of November,
1958 by
Prof. B.N. Prasad, an eminent
mathematician and analyst.
The
society was registered in 1962 under the Societies Registration
Act XXI of 1860. It is a non profit scientific organization
for promoting the cause of advanced study and research in
various branches of mathematics including theoretical physics
and mathematical statistics. |

The
Society provides an outlet for original researches through its publications
and organizes lectures, symposia and conferences.
The Society has reciprocity arrangement with various Societies including
the American Mathematical Society, the Canadian Mathematical Society,
the Cambridge Philosophical Society, the Edinburgh Mathematical
Society and the London Mathematical Society.
The Society receives about 125 Journals from all over the world
in exchange with its publications, the Indian Journal of Mathematics(IJM)
and the Bulletin of The Allahabad Mathematical Society (BAMS). |
